Sanju, the movie that is based on the real life of Sanjay Dutt has been released for public viewing today. The movie had already caught eyeballs since its inception and I can definitely say that it didn't disappoint.
If you are looking for a movie that is filled with tapori tone and just fun and games, then you would be in for a surprise. The movie really hits the right chords and ensures that it doesn't preach, but instead just give you an input on the life, trials and tribulations of Sanjay Dutt.
So without further delay, here are 5 reasons why the movie is a must watch for all:
5 Story
The movie has an intriguing storytline and keeps you on the edge of your seats. The story of the actor, called terrorist and then acquitted of those claims, is definitely worth a watch.
The movie takes you through the times when Sanju was put through test and was also blamed for 1993 bomb blasts. It is also a take on what went down during those days and how the gun was found in his house. What was the reason that he had the gun in his house.
You will be shocked to know the reason around it, just as we were, while watching the movie.
4 Acting
Ranbir has really worked on his character and this is definitely visible in his performance. From being a young Sanjay Dutt to his current age, Ranbir has worked a lot on his way to talk, walk and even look like Sanjay Dutt.
There are few moments in the movie wherein you can feel like watching Sanju is like almost watching Sanjay Dutt and not Ranbir Kapoor in the movie. The transformation has been good in the movie.
3 Cast
The supporting cast in the movie is definitely a treat. From Paresh Rawal as Sanjay Dutt to Manisha Koirala as Nargis and Jim Sarbh as Mr. Mistry to Sonam Kapoor as Tina Munim, the movie has all that is required for good cast.
When we talk about all of them, I couldn't leave Dia Mirza as Manyata Dutt, who looks exemplary in her portrayal of the powerhouse. Anushka Sharma asVinni Diaz is great and my o my, we can't get our eyes off Vicky Kaushal.
He shines throughout the movie and his work is so beautiful that you are in awe of it. A treat to watch him on screen.
2 Execution
The execution of the movie is on point and doesn't go hay-way during the 2 hours 30 minutes time. There won't be a moment in the movie wherein you feel tired, or stressed in the movie.
The set of events are showcased in such a way that you get a clarity about what went through in the life of Sanjay Dutt when he was under-prosecution. The simplest way I could put it is that it isn't melodramatic.
1 Direction
When you have to direct a movie that has been through so many twists and turns and is always under so much scrutiny from the media, you have to be cautious about what you showcase and what you shoot.
Thankfully, Rajkumar Hirani with his expertise has not spilled the beans in this movie and is able to showcase the truth, or should I say story of Sanjay Dutt in the most simple way.
More Power to such a life and amazing direction.
