Every award is filled with glitz and glamour, and while there is a jury that selects the movies that will be awarded during the function, there are many movies that are left out, and never see the light of the day or a mention in the award functions. The same was recently highlighted by Padmshree Manoj Bajpayee who is known for his amazing work in movies and other formats of movie making.

The actor has left his mark through the work in movies like Shool, Special 26, Gangs of Wasseypur among a host of others like Aligarh and Gali Guleiyan. The actor always works in different movies depicting some of the best characters and brings them to life with his impeccable performance on the big screen. This isn't the first time an award has been criticized, as a lot of notable performers have talked about the partiality and politics that goes into giving an award.

Recently, Katrina Kaif was awarded the Smita Patil Memorial Award and, a lot of film lovers had raised questions on the authenticity of these awards, especially because the actress broke boundaries and performed her role to perfection while the awardee hasn't done something notable in her career to claim the award.

On the other hand, Akshay Kumar had also opened up on India TV's show 'Aap Ki Adalat with Rajat Sharma' about the politics that goes into giving someone an award. According to Akshay,'Organizers ask you to take half of the price offered, and the rest shall be compensated with an award.' It isn't surprising as a lot of special and irrelevant segments are created just to provide for these actors. Isn't it ironic that someone like Suraj Pancholi gets the debutant award for Hero while Vicky Kaushal didn't get the same for Masaan?

We hope that the award committees and the people in them understand that only by giving relevant people their due credit will you be able to get more value in the eyes of the end user, not by giving credit to the sponsors multiple times during the scripted show, for no good reason.
