When you hear the term,'Veere Di Wedding', the first thing that comes to mind is a Sooraj Badjatya film with people in love and families bounded by love.

However, let me give you a spoiler right here and put some sense into you that this movie is completely opposite.

The movie has some amazing cast namely Nina Gupta, Kareena Kapoor, Swara Bhasker, Shikha Talsania and Sonam Kapoor.

The story revolves around them and Sumeet Vyas also plays an important role.

The movie has some very powerful scenes that talk about our interpretation of the society and women as a whole, but here's what I believe makes this movie an absolute kickass:

3) Addressing third world problems

Despite the fact that we believe that this world has evolved, there is still a section of the society that believes in making women work at home and that's their playground.

There are taboos that we all are accustomed to, and one such taboo or myth is about Masturbation.

If you believe that masturbation is a normal phenomenon in males and not in females, then this movie hits you hard.

In a scene where Swara is trying to self-please herself with a vibrator, some people might feel offended, but lets understand that this isn't wrong and completely natural.

The actor has always been in hot water for her comments and depiction of things, but it is her portrayal of it, that makes it seemingly easy to understand. The ast moment when she opens up about it with hee parents is something that all parents must do. They must gain the trust of their kids, so that they can talk about it out loud.

Even Swara Bhasker's mother had a befitting reply to all those that didn't like the scene. Here's what DNA had to state about Ira Bhasker's statement, and we quote,'Let me begin by saying that sexuality per se in Indian cinema is not a subject that has been directly expressed.'

Well said Ira!

2) Hero, Go Away

Do you remember the path breaking movie Queen that told you out loud that you don't need a hero to save your picture.

If the content is good enough, even newbee's like Suraj Singh(playing Swara's Husband) and Ishwak Singh (Nirmal) can make a good impact and even Sumeet Vyas.

It ain't really necessary for a macho man built up body guy to intervene and take all the credit.

In short words,' Why should boys have all the fun?'

1) New Director, New Possibilities

Rhea Kapoor has hit the right tone with her directorial debut movie. She raises some powerful questions through her movie.

The most important one was the Sonam Kapoor dialogue which clearly stated that until you are married, all your achievements go in vain. The truth is it applies to men too.

Also, addressing the issue of excess investment in marriage was subtle and well executed.

The only thing I believe which must be avoided is showing a single man with a guy that pretends to be gay through his gestures.

Happily Single is good enough,people.
