5 reasons why Manto Trailer compels us to watch the movie

The Man, The Mystique, Manto wrote about what he felt was happening in the society, and the trailer of the movie directed by Nandita Das has finally gone live on YouTube. The movie talks about the life, trials and tribulations and the way he was believed to be by people he knew.

While the trailer gives us a glimpse on what we can expect in the movie, a thing hat really catches my eye is the attention to detail in portraying his character and situations. The trailer also showcased some famous names in a cameo (probably), but for now, we let you enjoy the trailer, and tell you reasons why we believe that the movie would be loved by all, if people go for the movie with open minds.

5. The Stories

Incase, you have read Manto's story, you would be aware that the dialogue in the image above is from his story,'Toba Tek Singh', but he wrote so many stories that touched our heart and drenched our eyes. We hope to see more stories of the writer in the movie, especially my favorite,'Titwal ka Kutta.'

4. The Story

While a lot of us read his stories, not a lot of us know what went in his life, and behind the close doors of his life, and this movie will help us unravel the life of one of the most straight forward writers in the last decade. Why he wrote, what he wrote, and what went down when he used to write them.

3. The Director

Nandita Das is no stranger to direction because she directed a powerful movie 'Firaaq', and has always impressed us with her acting chops. Now she puts on a Director's cap, and we are sure she will outshine in this role as well, just like her on-screen roles. We wish her all the best for the movie.

2. The Actor

Nawazuddin Siddiqui can play any character and make it believable, be it Faizal in GOW, or as Liak Mohammed Tungrekar in Badlapur, the man can perform any role with ease, and along with Manto we are also waiting for his next movie, based on the life of Bal Thackeray.

1. The Man

Let's understand that we aren't talking about modern times, but times when anything vulnerable could lead to riots and people found it difficult to understand the man and his stories too. We hope that the movie gives us an insight on the man, the mystique, Manto.
