5 reasons why there will not be anyone like Jaspal Bhatti

Jaspal Bhatti was one of the most revered comedians of his era and his work is welcomed even to this date. This includes his sitcoms and the satirical take on how things are around us. The fact that this gem of a human being created some of the most amazing shows during the 90's and gave us a great memory to remember from our childhood leaves no question why we love him even after he has left this world.

Nobody will disagree with his ability to create a hilarious moment in every situation and the same was evident in his TV shows. The legend named his shows so well that they are still remembered and contrary to their names they were the absolute opposite. At this day and age we see so many comedians on TV trying to earn a living by either dressing up as a different gender or some trying to do slapstick comedy by attacking the other actor verbally. The remarks on the other actor do not feel like a timing, but instead showcase the timid and shrewd mindset of a comedian.

Satirist, comedian Jaspal Bhatti dies in road accident - The Hindu ...

Jaspal Ji was a comedian and a satirist who have a keen eye and attention to detail for everything around him. At this day and age when the number of channels have increased and performers have found various platforms to be a part of the comedy scene there was just one platform back in the day and Bhatti sahab ruled it with his wit and humour.

It is due to this that I personally feel that no matter the list of comedians may come and go, but the ability of Jaspal Ji will never be replaced or replicated by any comedian or satirist. I list down my reasons supporting this statement and welcome your thoughts in the comments section for the readers' kind perusal.

So let's dive right into it:

#1 Straight Comedy And Satire No Double Meaning

The legend was always on point and had a straight up message in every show he did because whether you pick up his shows or other acts he was always on point. There was never a word that showcased double meaning approach. He is one of the biggest names in the field because the work can be seen with the family with laugh a second riot.

#2 Never Made Fun Of His Co-Actors And The Looks Etc.

You watch any episode of the legend or his work and there wouldn't be a word about his co-actor where the looks will be questioned. In the current state of affairs we have a weekend show where the host always poses questions and mocks their co-actors body or their looks etc. in an attempt to make people laugh. Jaspal Ji on the other hand made fun of moments and gave us time to laugh every split second.

#3 He Never Embroiled Into Controversy

While Mr. Bhatti was always a comedian and a satirist he was never embroiled in any controversy. If you recall there was a recent controversy by the man who took to Twitter to talk about his tax payments and others and thought that it makes him special. It wasn't the first because he got into controversy for his house but did you ever hear of Mr. Bhatti being in any controversy? The legend knew the thin line between comedy and foolishness.

#4 No Attitude Ever

There is no smoke without fire and there were news on the web about how the so called best comedian in India was late to his shows and made other actors and celebrities wait. A lot has been written about it, and one can find it on the web for their reading pleasure. On the contrary Jaspal Ji never had any attitude.

#5 Eye For Talent

Sunil Grover who is a household name now is one of the finds by Bhatti Ji. The actor also recalls the experience as he said that he had no hopes of being selected but was picked by Jaspal Ji based on his work.

These points alone signify why he is a legend and there will never be another one like him. The Asardaar Sardaar left us but his work and legacy lives on.
