Is trolling becoming a passion in India?

Filmfare would have never thought that they would be on the receiving end of such a troll. After posting a photograph of an actress in the swimming pool, the leading Bollywood Magazine's Twitter account asked the fans to guess who the person in the image happened to be?

The users took a jibe at the image and came up with various and hilarious tweets about the image. The reason I call them hilarious is that fans would take nothing too unkindly. They decided to poke fun at Filmfare, and here are some notable responses:

While some were good enough in providing clear information and stated the image was of Athiya Shetty.

The actress has not been in many movies, but this experience would have baffled her.

While it was considered funny by many, the fact that everyone has a personal life, and people on Twitter should continue to respect that. As a user, it doesn't sound fun (or even pun) when you take a jibe at someone for your own pleasure.

As a celebrity, they are prone to such attacks but let's face it, everyone has their own space, and if you can't value the people that have stature, don't try to showcase your small thinking by doing acts that are pathetic by all means.

It may sound fun to some, and while some others may not like it, don't take the freedom of expression as the freedom of stupidity. As individuals, it becomes our responsibility to understand and respond to things, but this is completely uncalled for.
