Guru Dutt was the most decorated actor, director and producer of the film fraternity. His work was appreciated by fans during his days, and is still loved by film lovers worldwide. With an array of subjects on which he made his movies, his work has been a source of inspiration for many existing and up-and-coming filmmakers in the film fraternity.
Over the years, we have seen many movies on the subjects he created the cinematic brilliance during yester years, but the ones made now have been lost in time, while his movies are still loved by fans.
In this article, I discuss four movies that are still favorite:

4. Sahib, Biwi aur Gulam

Does this title sound familiar to an ongoing movie series we see in Cinemas very often? The franchise that now has gangster in it is nowhere close to the original movie created by the great Guru Dutt. This movie is one of the most loved and decorated movies to come from Dutt who is loved for his work.
The movie is a cult classic and never ceases to amaze us despite the number of times we can roll it.



3. Chaudhvin Ka Chand


If you haven’t yet watched the movie yet, you are missing the spectacle that was created by Guru Dutt. A movie can be a spectacle with an actor’s work, via production, direction or some other way around it. This movie is still a fan favorite as well as critically acclaimed too, and it is available for free on YouTube.
 

 2. Kagaz Ke Phool

The last movie under Guru Dutt’s direction is a classic and can’t be missed if you are a film lover or have been a fan of good cinema. This movie has the most interesting plot, and you will be left wanting more from it as the credits roll.

Arguably, the best movie to be ever created by Indian Cinema, Pyaasa is the story that seems like everyone’s story, and the amazing work by Guru Dutt along with other actors will leave you spellbound.
